Unprotected oral and fever since 40'days

Dear members,
Had unprotected oral insertive sex of 2-3 second with one girl, later put condom and did 3-4 min of protected insertive oral sex but did shaved my pubic hair prior to.3 hrs with minor superficial cuts before the exposure. Also she massage  my penis after sucking as their were some saliva on tge base of penis. While sucking feel her saliva (possible with blood if bleeding gums or sores)coming down to the base of unprotected shaved area wher the superficial cut.

After 27 days runny nose with chills and mild fever and sore throat for 4 days for which I took 3 doses of antibiotic and panadol.After feeling gud so I stopped.

After 38 days again runny nose, mild body aches, chills and on and off low grade fever for 30  days and still having it. Upon xray pneumonitis has been diagnosed with moderate increase in esr to 45.

Took 10 days antibiotic course but still having mild fever, chills and mild body aches on.and off.

I check online forum at webmd, poz, aidsvancouver, ************ etc everyone telling it was not a risky encounter. As oral sex carries no risk. Saliva is non infectious, hiv virus outside the body is not infectious and once exposed to air becomes inactive. Superficial cuts are not deep enough to tramsmit the hiv virus into bloodstream. No documented cases of hiv in 30'years for receiving oral.sex.

But looking to my continous fever and body aches since last 40'days I m.very confused and started to believe that my low grade fever is related to acute hiv infection which are similar to mine.

Does anyone has idea how long the ars acute hiv infection fever stays. Why my mild fever is not going.
Is my mild fever and mild aches grad are related to hiv or it is due to pneumonitis and increased esr.
Does ars fever can be long for more than 40 days.
My esr has been brought down from 45 to normal 25 and also pneoumonitis infection might have brought under control.with antibiotic.  But still I have same symptom.

I m very anxious and worried. I did not sleep.since 2 months.
I cannot test as I work in middleast it is conservative country and their is no helpline or confidential.testing. anyone found positive are deported. When I go to my home country I will test.

Plz help me I will be grateful

It's not a risk. If you don't believe me then search the expert forum and read the thousands upon thousands of posts from people asking the same identical question and being told by the doctors that they had no risk. There are literally thousands of your same question and all of them were assessed as no risk. Go read their replies because it's the same advice they have given over and over again.

You had no risk and you're not having ARS. There is nothing more to add.

Hope u r correct that oral sex dont carry hiv risk.

But I had lost hope, as I have been having on.and off mild body aches and mild feverish feeling with chills sometime, which is not going since 45 days despite of 10'days antibiotic course, ct scan, sputum, cbc, esr test. Nothing came out.except pneumonitis and increased esr.

I dont know whether my fever is related to.hiv or some other sources.
I had never got like this body aches and fever so long in.my 48 yrs.

Only hiv infection fever stays so long and doesnt respond to antibiotic.

May b all studies are wrong related to oral sex.

May b her saliva (mix with blood, if she has bleeding gums or sores) went to my 3 hrs prior superficial cut.

May b while giving hand massage to my penis, her saliva if mix with blood went to the superficial cut.

Its really tough to believe that my mild body aches  and feverish feeling since 45 days r not related to hiv.

I had no.other risk than.this.

You had no risk so none of your symptoms are relevant to the discussion. Oral sex will not infect you with HIV and neither will using a condom. You had no risk which means your symptoms have nothing to do with ARS.

You guys are so experienced and knows about hiv.
Thats why I came to this forum to get some confidence and differentiate the ars fever and mine fever.

Pneumonitis can be bacterial infection and not hiv viral infection and my on and off low grade fever and high level esr could b due to bacterial infection.

But the point is why since 40 days it is not going.

If this fever can b due to hiv does it will go for more than 40 days.

Since 20 days I am taking temperature 4-5 times daily it is between 36.2 to 36.8 maximum.

But I feel very mild feverish body aches on and off sometimes I feel in leg, hand, back on shoulder, head etc. Also when I touch my hand and feet or neck it is sometimes little hot.

You fever has nothing to do with ARS nor HIV. As you very well know, you definitely had no risk. You cannot suffer from something you don't have.

Please continue to work with you doctor to sort out your pneumonitis. Peneumonitis can cause fever too. Stop thinking about ARS and stay off the internet. Your anxiety can manifest in very scary ways. Remember, you had no risk for HIV.

I was confident but this low grade fever, chills and mild body aches since 40 days had really shaken my confidence and I feel like I lost the hiv battle.

Does hiv acute infection can cause pneumonitis and increase esr.

I took 10'days of antibotic courses, did, cbc, esr, xray, sputum and ctscan test. Except reactionary pretarchial lymp node nothing came out.

My doctor is telling their is no infection.and no more antibiotics. What else I will do to remove my on.& off mild fever and mild body aches. What shud I do now.

I cannot freely talk with dr about my hiv fear as he is family dr and very religous n conservative.

Pneumonitis is not that serious to give me fever for 40'days  +. Usually pneumonitis can go within maximum.10 days. But now it is more than 40 days. I m.very confused.

Due to this fever, I started to believe that I must have acquired hiv from.oral sex or her saliva if mix with blood might have entered to my superficial shaving nicks.thats why my fever is not going.

No antibiotics are responding that means this fever is not due to pneomontis.

How long the ars fever can.last, can.it be for more than 40'days..

First of all, medically to be even regarded as mild fever, your temperature should read as 37 and above. Your readings of 36.8 is not fever at all.

Pneumonitis is not hiv specific. I don't discuss ars because not everybody experiences ars. The symptoms mimics so many other illnesses. That's why symptoms are not reliable at all to diagnose HIV. As in your case, it cannot be ars as you had no risk.

At the begining I used to get temperature up to 37.3 sometimes.

I always wear jacket and sit in the office as I feel cold.

Whenever I shower I feel more feverish and runny nose.

Everymorning just little water on my headI get runny nose.

I cannot sit in ac for long time and while sleeping I switch off my ac.

I m very afraid now.

How long it will take take recover from this mild body aches and chills.

I did my complete investigation cbc, esr, xray, sputum and ctscan. I dont have any other syptoms than chills, mild body aches and mild temp but below 37 on and off.

The antibiotic did nothing for the infection.

Its making me more panic as the day going on.

As you dont discuss symptoms, but ars fever how long it stays maximum. So it will help me to distinguish.

My esr was 45 ,then brought down to 20 and again it went up to 28.

Its very tough to believe that this is not ars fever. Atleast help me to distinguish between mine and ars fever, which can calm me down.

How long the pneumonitis fever take time to go.

Okay.. Most people reported ( if at all they do experience ars) that around 20 days after their exposure they had fever, sore throat, rash, soaking night sweats and flu- like symptoms, all of those came together, or within a few days of difference and lasted for a few weeks.  I do not know how long a persons fever would last as it varies from each person.

Now you're letting anxiety get the best of you. If you're that worried take a test, collect your negative result and move on. I wish you the best.

So the mild feverish like mild body aches and chills on and off  can b symptom of ars and it can go beyond 40 days also upto 2 or 3 months.
Only mild feverish body aches and chills without rash or severe sore throat or swollen lymph node or mouth ulcer can b ars. They have to b all together or only one is enough.
