This porn actor got HIV from oral sex?

Hi there, I know that it has been said many times in this forum that oral sex doesn't transmit HIV regardless the presence of sores or ejaculation in mouth. But just recently, it was found out that this porn actor got HIV from oral sex. He didn't claim that he got it from oral sex, it is the tracing made by AIM (Adult Industry Medical) that found out about how he got the disease. The full article can be read here

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/people/profiles/derrick-burts-hiv-in-pornography-the-naked-truth-2167532.htm

so oral sex is not a too safe sex activity i guess?

Put it this way, he claims he got it from oral but the clinic themselves believe he got it from his own personal life basically stating oral isn't a risk. Also, this was 2 years ago and to this day, there are still no confirmed reports of oral sex transmission so there you have it. If you read the Exper forum on HIV here, you can just recently, as in about 3 hours ago, Dr. EWH stated that oral sex is virtually no risk in regard to HIV.

Have a good day

Move along.

And to clarify, it is this site's stance, based on studies and our own MedHelp experts (all of whom are world-renowned for their work in this field), that oral sex carries no risk for HIV.
