Toddler Licks Hands

Hi all-

I am freaking out...yesterday my toddler who is normally really great when going potty, went wild and slapped the tampon recepticle in the stall (you know the kind in the side of the wall) and stuck her hands inside the top/side of the container.  Then before I could get her to a sink she licked her hands.
Of course I washed her hands immediatelly and wiped off her face, but I am still worried.

There was no obvious blood on the recepticle door and I looked inside and felt where I thought her hands went and it seemed visibly clean.

Should I be worried about her contracting HIV from this incident??  I am always so careful and she always follows directions....it was just a very "off" day when this happened.

Thanks!

Yes, even if she had directly touched fresh menstrual blood and then licked her hand, it still would not be a risk.

Thanks.  So...just to clarify...there were dirty femenine items in the bottom of the recepticle she touched, I don't think she reached in far enough to touch them...she just touched the inside wall of the thing and the top.

Still no need to worry??

Promise this is my last question. Being a mommy makes me worry too much!

No, no risk for HIV whatsoever.  HIV is transmitted by unprotected anal or vaginal sex, sharing IV drug works, and from mother to child at birth and through breastfeeding.
