WHY in the world would a drug addict GIVE away his heroin? Come on, this isn't even a rational thought process.
If the medics and hospital staff had a rough time starting an IV or drawing blood (very common), then you will have various poke marks in random places, some without a band-aid or gauze.
You really need to address your irrational thoughts. Get some professional help.
This is an HIV community, you do not have an HIV concern, please move along.
Heroin is cheap. FYI. Pills are what get expensive. That's why it's becoming such an epidemic as of recent.
Heroin is expensive, from what I understand. Your average junkie isn't going to want to share if they don't know you. Besides, most of the illegal stuff I've ever seen at clubs has been pot and ecstasy. MAYBE prescription drugs.
And from what I understand, blood toxicity tests check for most things.
Honestly, I'd be more worried about getting roofied at a club than getting stuck with a needle. Club bouncers are there to watch people like hawks because a club can get shut down if people get caught with drugs.
Would the hospital have been able to tell if I was intoxicated and on drugs? They did a blood draw to check for blood alcohol. Would they have been able to tell if there was heroine or other IV drugs in my system.
My fear is that the needle marks on the left arm were not taped with gauze like the rest of them were. Maybe those marks were from someone at the night club.
Should I be worried here?
NOT about HIV, no...but you SHOULD be worried about drinking so much that you blacked out and ended up in an ambulance. That's not good. I would recommend getting some help for the drinking.
You clearly have obsessive/irrational type thoughts, as someone who wouldn't would never even WONDER after being in the hospital (and ambulance) where injection marks came from. I'm guessing you have a history of anxiety, maybe OCD?
Address your anxiety and drinking. You don't have an HIV concern.
Should I be worried here?
Really regretting not getting PEP to be on the safe side.
Man I've been sweating bullets and then getting the chills. My whole body feels tingly.
I'm hope so too. I'm just worried. Just worried. Should I just let this go and assume all needle marks came from paramedics and hospital staff.
People don't just inject other people.
