Update

Just an update on my results post exposure was 4-10  , I took the RNA PCR that was negative at 16 days also, I took the Oraquick test at 6 weeks and 1 day it was negative along with a Insti HIV1 and HIV 2 test that same day and, it was negative also. I have read numerous literature including on this site that those results are extremely unlikely to change for 90%-95% of people turn positive between 4-6 weeks and, both of the experts on this website have stated that a RNA test combined with an antibody test at ( 4 weeks) is 100% conclusive. However, I took my antibody test at six weeks. So, my question to my update how many have heard different from this? or have seen a change past 6 week antibody test?

You don't have to take it on day 28, just past day 28 so it is time to move on with your life.

Great.... I look forward to moving on.
Despite what the "experts" on here seem to think, I would follow the recommended guidelines and test at the 3 month mark just to rule it out for sure. You don't want to have it, not know it, and spread it onto others.
There are no "experts" on this site.  MedHelp relies on the opinions and direct advice from experts in the field of HIV.  While the CDC can be helpful, they are a very conservative organization.  Additionally, they work on publications for ALL diseases, not just HIV, and are not always able to keep up with the technology related to a specific disease or testing procedures.  Advice from the major body of HIV experts in the field state that the 4th generation test is 99.89% reliable at 28 days and beyond.

Since we are not doctors and cannot properly read and interpret guidelines, data, and recommendations, we rely on experts in the field to do so for us.  This is our policy in all fields of medical expertise, and is not limited to HIV.

It is always up to each individual to determine what they wish to do regarding testing, but a 99.89% accuracy rate at 28 days is about as accurate as any medical test on the market.
Okay, Kirstie was that comment for me or Chancej?
Also, are you speaking in terms of 4 gen or insti antibody test past 28 days?
The comment was probably mainly aimed towards me. And they are referring to the 4th gen test.
