Giving oral sex with ejaculation and swallowing

Hello everyone,

      I am a female trying to get multiple opinions to my question. What is the risk of giving oral sex to a male if he ejaculates AND I swallow?
        I have read from many sites and forums that oral sex posts little to no risk for HIV infection.
        I have also read, however, claims of people who have only engaged in oral sex and became infected. Are these stories reliable?  What is the opinion on this forum and what is the basis for the opinion (i.e doctor's opinion, scientific articles, etc.)

Again I thank you for the information and the wealth of knowledge that you all provide. I wish people would read these posts and take them to heart to become educated in the transmission and prevention of HIV.

Blood transfusion isn't a concern and hasn't been since 1985.

Going out of house is a risk because you might got struck with lightning ..
But what are the chances ??
So when studies done since last 30 years says that no one got infected that way , that means it is not the way how HIV transmission happens ..

But CDC has to be ultra conservative that is why they state so .. So the risk is just theoretical not practical ..

And people on Internet claim that they have met aliens .. do you believe them ?? No right just trust the facts .. Lizzie has provided you many..

You should know the facts that how HIV is transmitted..

Hiv is transmitted in following ways :-

1. unprotected vaginal/anal sex
2. mother to child
3. blood transfusion
4. sharing IV drugs with HIV infected person

And no other way...

       Wow that was very informative, thank you very much. It definitely clears up my question. Out of curiosity, why do some reasonably credible sources (e.g. CDC) openly state that while oral sex is low risk, it is still a risk?

FROM THE HIV EXPERTS HERE AT MEDHELP:

"As you know from other posts about oral sex, our stance is that giving or receiving oral sex is not a risk for HIV.  Some others suggest that there is an appreciable risk of HIV from oral sex however, there are no convincing scientific reports which support these statements.  The presence of a burn in your mouth, or a sore, or ingestion of blood does not change this.  Still no risk an no reason for testing."  DR HOOK

"As far as HIV is concerned, there is no known risk of getting HIV from performing oral sex on an infected partner, even if that person's genital secretions get into your eyes or if you swallow"  DR HOOK

There is no debate (among experts) about the HIV risks associated with oral sex.  The risk is so low that almost nobody who cares for HIV infected patients has ever had a patient believed to have been infected that way.  Among experts, it's a semantic issue about using terms like "no risk" and "very low risk".  There is no difference between my or Dr. Hook's use of "low risk" and other experts' "no risk".

in the public HIV Prevention forum of MedHelp, TEAK and the other moderators maintain that oral sex in all forms is a zero risk activity. Would you agree with this assessment?

The observation on thousand and thousand of observations is that HIV is not spread by oral sex (of any sort).  DR. HOOK
