Could I be possibly infected?

So today I was in the bathroom and I was (tmi) putting in a tampon, while I was throwing the wrapper I came in contact with container that did contain some blood on it. Afterwards I put in a tampon and I'm not sure if I touched the tip where it could have come in contact with my vagina when I slid it in. Could I have a possible exposure?

I've been told many times that HIV doesn't live long but according to aidsmap, it can live up to several days and that drying doesn't affect the virus.
