3 month ago, I had sex with a sex worker in a massage parlor, and since then I have been very scared that I may have got HIV. The sex was unprotected oral (insertive) and protected vaginal. From what I have been reading on this forum that it was a relatively low risk behaviour, however my symptoms are very concerning. I have tried my best to dismiss any symptoms that I have which may point to HIV infection, because my risk is low, but new symptoms just keeps showing up and more and more suggesting a weakened immune system.
To put my story short, the symptoms are 1. folliculitis (started week 2, come on and off, usually disappear after 2 days and new ones shows up) 2. petechiae all over the body mainly on arms and left rib cage pain (started around week 3, ongoing until now which is nearly 3 months) 3. oral thrush (white coating and red bumps at the back of my tongue, doesn't feel painful until i scratched it) 4. hard bump under left jaw ( i thought it was a raised lymph nodes, however my GP dismissed it by saying its normal for certain people). 5. lost 3kg weight, which is a lot consider I am very skinny. 6. diarrhea in the first few weeks after exposure, although been having this before the exposure for some time.
Onto my testing, I am still waiting for 3 month conclusive tests, and the waiting is killing me inside. Had a 24 days (3.5 week) antibody test because that is when I noticed the hard bump under jaw. The result was negative. GP also did month culture swap, nothing showed up then. Hep C is negative also. Red blood cell/White blood cell level all normal at 3.5 week test.
So just a few general questions:
1. What are my risk of HIV, and does the fact the person wearing braces increase the risk of infection?
2. A lot of my symptoms showing weakened immune system, such as folliculitis, petechiae and oral thrush. Could HIV caused all these within 3 months?
3. I have been getting Hep B vaccine, could any of the symptoms related to this?
