Hey,
as you cam imagine, I am still worried about the handjob I gave a guy a month ago. I've been told, that there was no risk, because the semen I came into contact with was exposed to air before coming into contact with my wound. Can someone here tell me how long it takes for HIV to become inactive when it comes into contact with air?
And I have another question: Are there any confirmed cases where someone got infected through getting a body fluid form an hiv-positive person on a wound besides the medical setting/health care department?
And my last question is: What is considered an open wound? How deep does it hve to be to allow hiv to get into the blood stream?
A few days ago I called my national aids-hotline and the employee told me that a poper cut is enough. He said that every wound that is bleeding is considered to be an open wound and a possible entry for hiv.
You were advised of the risks for HIV. Nothing else that you can imagine is a risk for HIV. Your questions about when the virus becomes inactivate are NOT relevant, because no one ever gets infected in the (convoluted) manner you describe.
The risks for HIV are well-known and well-documented over the past 50 years. You aren't suddenly going to discover a thread of infection that no scientist has ever considered before.
