am I at risk of contracting HIV/STD?

Hi,

I'm a 21 yr old male. 8 weeks ago, I went out to have drinks with my friends and got drunk. being so, I came out of the club with a female companion and we had sex. I did put a condom on but half way through, my condom came off and but we still continued. I even ejaculated in her. I don't know any of her sexual history and medical status.

today, I'm experiencing some flu, and my gums are sore and bleeding (hear it's one of the uncommon symptoms of HIV). my genitals would also feel itchy, however there's no physical rashes seen. I would feel lethargic daily and knowing this, it has made me feel restless.

could you help me understand if I'm really at risk here? would appreciate your help.

what do you mean it came on too late?  ARS symptoms come on between 2-4 weeks and last 1-2 weeks, What Teak means by "to late" is they came on well over the 4 week mark. That means your symptoms do not have anything to do with ARS, But you still need to test 3 months after your exposure as Teak has advised you above.

but what are the chances that I can contract HIV/STD? Low, but a risk is a risk and testing is needed to know your status!

Hope this helps

and also I didn't realise my condom came off, and I think I was without it for about a few minutes? I only realised it when we ended.

sorry I'm no expert and how stupidly it sounds, what do you mean it came on too late?

and I understand I put myself at risk by doing so. but what are the chances that I can contract HIV/STD?

How can you be certain that you put yourself at risk. "The condom came off and you continued to have vaginal sex unprotected."

No it is not ARS it came on to late. No sore, bleeding gums are not a symptom they are a symptoms of dental disease.

you're saying it is the 'HIV symptom flu'? does the sore, bleeding gums count as a symptom?

how can I be certain at this point that I am at risk?

After that length of time it is the flu. You can collect your conclusive negative test result 3 months post exposure.
