I am still really worried even after negative result

I called and talked to a nurse today about my prenatal blood work. I told the nurse that I was told that my blood tests were clear a couple of days after they had taken my blood. I asked the nurse if she could go through all of my tests again, and she told me that all of my blood work was clear and normal. She also told me that they did test me for HIV. I am still really scared because of how bad I feel. I know that I have already been told that a test after five months is conclusive, but I am still so worried. I do not want my baby to get sick.

Your baby is going to be okay.  You have tested negative conclusively. You really have nothing to worry about,  do not let yourself drift away towards irrational thinking,  your hormones are going to give you a lot of emotional changes during  these times,  stay happy. Do what makes you happy,  stay nourished and most importantly think well.

I bet my house on this,  if you had a negative HIV antibody test 5 months post exposure it is not going to change,  it is conclusive.

Especially if you have NO SYMPTOMS. If you have correlated symptoms and stuff not going away that is causing you discomfort, that is something to consider going to the doctor about, but it won't be HIV at the 5 month mark, any test will be 100%. I know this from research and doctors. I've personally had problems with this recently. However I still have symptoms, meaning I have something to sort out still, It's a headache but will have to get to the bottom of it somehow. Wish me luck, be happy you are SAFE AND SOUND.

Symptoms do not mean a thing.  I suggest you to stop advising people on the basis of symptoms. Usually the body goes through numerous changes on a daily basis.  However,  we do not monitor them closely as we have no reason to.

When we go through an HIV scare,  we spend time on the internet reading varied information and relating our self with every thing we read, we spot even the smallest change and it becomes fuel for paranioa.

The mind is very powerful,  anxiety does a lot to the body. Headaches, oral sores,  stiffness in neck,  chest etc are classic anxiety symptoms.  The more you obsess the more you feel them.

If you need someone to speak to about your symptoms, it is your doctor or your shrink, symptom assesments on other people's thread is totally uncalled for,  you are not helping. This forum dwells on anxiety,  things might just blow up with a misunderstanding anytime.

You have other health anxiety issues besides HIV, so your situation is not something that can be resolved on a chat forum. No one can provide the therapy that you need. One of your other threads said you got test results on Oct 19, so now it looks like you tested again and still don't believe the result. If you don't believe the nurse, then you need to see a therapist.

I did not test again. I just wanted to make sure that they did do a test for HIV. I am sorry that I keep bothering everyone, but I am so scared.
