IGA Deficiency

Good morning.  Because of chronic sinusitis I was tested for an IGA deficiency.  I received my results yesterday.  I am indeed IGA deficient.  Would this condition affect hiv antibody production and the accuracy of a rapid fingerstick hiv test?

Thank you for your time

The antibody test search for igm and igg proteins, so has nothing to do with iga antibodies. Anyway seek mental help due to your unwarranted HIV fear.

Your risks were not "low risk", they were "no risk", you need to put this behind you and move on.

Your IgA status would have no affect on an HIV test or the production of antibodies.  You don't need an HIV test.

Yes my risks were low risk; fingering with a wound and receipt of oral sex but i still think my question has value.

You don't have an HIV concern. * Anyone who continues to post excessively, questioning a conclusively negative result or no-risk situation, will be subject to action by MedHelp. Conclusively negative results or a no-risk situation will be based upon the criteria established by MedHelp’s doctors. Action will be taken as follows:
    * After excessive posting, a warning will be issued by MedHelp
    * Continuing to post regarding the negative result / no risk situation will result in a 3 day suspension
    * Continuing to post upon your return will result in a permanent ban.
