Worried about incident 12 years ago

Hi,

What is the risk of contracting HIV because of two one night stands (2 different boys) I had as a stupid drunken 19 year old girl during a holiday? I think one we used protection, other time not sure.

I am now 31 and in a long term relationship of over 6 years and have a one year old daughter.

I have just started thinking about my past and what risk my actions could be to my family?

The reason I am asking is because my partner has been diagnosed with shingles at the age of 30. The Dr asked him if he is faithful to me and has not recently had any other sexual partners. He answered that he is completely faithful. I trust him and I have also been faithful but my mistakes as a 19 year old (12 years ago) have me worried.

Would I have any symptoms of HIV by now of the incidents were 12 years ago? What would the odds be? I could never forgive myself if I have compromised my partner or child.

I know a test is the best way to ease my mind but I just wanted some advice on the odds of risk and also if I would likely have some symptoms by now.

anyone can come down with shingles...

if you are concerned about your status...then test.  it's really that simple.

I had lots of tests done but I am not sure if HIV was one if them, if so I was never advised.
