Worried

Since some promiscuous behavior a few years ago I have been constantly worried about HIV. I am a bank teller and see lots of bloody money which freaks me out but I seem to get over it on my own but this last situation I am having trouble. Someone came to my teller window to cash a check. He is a construction worker. I could see an obviously bleeding cut on his hand. He hands me his check to cash and when I turn it over to see if it has been endorsed there is blood in different spots on the check. What are the chances of me getting HIV if he was HIV positive. This had to be fresh blood because I could see his hand bleeding. It also worries me because I am one that contantly washes my hands so my hands are really chapped and sometimes bleed.

HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.
