when drawing blood...there is nothing injected (going into your vein). the needle goes in and if a vacutaniner was used, it automatically pulls the blood from the vein. if a syringe was used, the person drawing the blood pulls the blood into the syringe. everything is coming out...NOT going in. if there was blood ON the needle...it would have been rendered inactive and unable to infect when exposed to air.
you had NO risk from the situation that you are describing.
You have nothing to be afraid of,the equipyment wasn't re-used,stop worrying.
