The only risks for HIV in adults are:
1) Having unprotected anal or vaginal sex, or
2) sharing intravenous needles with IV drug users.

Nothing else you can think of, including the situation you described, would put you at risk for HIV.  I don't know where you read that a bite is a risk for HIV, but it is not.  There are anecdotal reports, but no clinical confirmation that infections have occurred from bites.  Your skin didn't even break.

Put this event behind you and move on with your life.  You do not have HIV.

hi thanks for your reply .

I am from India and there was an article here a few years back in the newspaper that said that a man caught hiv after someone bit his hand .
When i googled i found a few more links that mentioned that hiv is transmitted through bites in some cases , hence i have been worried . Please advise . Thank you again
I have already advised you.  I am not here to help you through anxiety.  I have provided the facts about HIV transmission, and it is up to you whether to accept that you had no risk or not.
thanks . so even if assuming there were small cuts or bruises that i didn’t notice , still not risk ?
i had asked 2 doctors and one of them recommended pep , how ever i told him i can’t take it since it’s been more than 72 hours
also i read another post of yours where you advised someone who had a few seconds of unorotected sex , that hiv dosemt spread through few seconds of unprotected anal .
i thought unprotected sex was a risky act as far as hiv in concerned . plz advise . thanks
I am NOT going to comment further about your no-risk bite event.

Regarding unprotected sex - yes, it is risky.  Penetrating someone for a few seconds is NOT going to result in infection. A few seconds of penetration isn't "having sex." The duration of intercourse makes a difference.  HIV is not that easily spread.

Please move on.

this is what i was talking about .
We rely on the opinion of expert doctors so nobody is going to read whatever you find in some media article, or we will be here all day arguing. There are 7 billion people in the world and if biting transmission was common the experts we rely on would know about it. You had a real risk of dying from Covid from the other person (small risk but much higher than any biting risk could ever be given that no one gets it from biting) so your priorities are mixed up if you think hiv transmitted from biting is something to worry about.
Sorry to bother youll again . it’s been 10 days post the exposure and i have developed a bad throat and some fever . request you to please advise . Thanks
Your situation involves personal contact with an object in air  (mouth, lips, teeth , maybe cuts, maybe blood etc. ). You will be happy to learn that you had no risk, because you can't get hiv from personal contact except unprotected penetrating vaginal or anal with a penis, neither of which you did and you didn't share hollow needles to inject with which is the only other way to acquire hiv - there are ONLY 3 ways to get hiv. Note that 2 of them require a penis and the third requires a hollow injecting shared needle - there are no OTHER ways to get hiv. Analysis of large numbers of infected people over the 40 years of hiv history has proven that people don't get hiv in the way you are worried is a risk.
Hiv is a fragile virus in air or saliva and is effectively instantly dead in either air or saliva so the WORST that could happen is dead virus rubbed you, and obviously anything which is dead cannot live again so you are good. Blood and cuts would not be relevant in your situation since the hiv has become effectively dead, so you don't have to worry about them to be sure that you are safe.
There is no reason for a person to test when they are safe. The advice took into consideration that the other person might be positive, so move on and enjoy life instead of thinking about this non-event. hiv prevention is straightforward since there are only 3 ways you can become infected, so next time you wonder if you had a risk, ask yourself this QUESTION. "Did I do any of the 3?" Then after you say "No, I didn't" you will know that it's time to move on back to your happy life.
No one got hiv from what you did during 40 years of hiv history and no one will get it in the next 40 years of your life either.  You can do what you did any time and be safe from hiv.
The other person's status is irrelevant when you have no exposure to live virus.
You should stop worrying and move on from this non-event.
It is not surprising that you perhaps got a cold, flu, Covid, strep throat etc. since you don't take steps to avoid contact with others. See doc if concerned instead of wasting your time self diagnosing the only disease that you can't have.
