courage to test

To all,

Its been awhile since my last post and have yet to build the confidence to get my post three month test. My exposure was with worker using condom which was removed and then used again, possibly outside in with trapped vaginal fluids inside the condom. I did get P24 & antibody test 25 days post exposure which came back negative. However my glands in my neck are still sore after 2 months and two weeks ago I developed cotton mouth with white tongue and a couple of particularly white hairy patches at the back of my tongue. My questions are as follows

1. Can I be confident that my initial negative combo test at 25 days was accurate?
2. Is my sore neck glands for the past two months a symptom of hiv infection?
3. Can you get white tongue from hiv 3 months post exposure

Really worried and hope anyone can help me build the confidence to test again and finally put this behind me.

Thrush never builds after 3 months or even 6 months from HIV infection. Only if your immune system is completely compromised or if you have acid reflux from stress or took antibiotics or not cleaned your tongue and many other reasons. It takes years for it to manifest. See a primary care doctor or ENT for sore throat. Negative test is encouraging.

Level of your risk does not shift and still remains zero. As long as your protrection remains intact and does not break inside, during the intercourse, you are safe and protected. Unprotected handjob (which is seldom done with a condom on) is a zero risk again. Any "trapped" fluid inside the condom (if there was any) will not harm you because HIV (if there is any) would have already been inactivated soon after it left it host body.

Thanks Diver58 and yes I am such an amature! A little more detail. First I was slightly anebriated. Condom used for insertive vaginal sex. She then removed the condom and began hand job for 2 minutes approx. No luck so intercourse again with condom. No luck again so gave up. Only after did I find out that it was the same condom! I am still curious about how she put it on again. If it was put back on with the trapped fluids on the inside, and after vigorous hand job, that I could have been infected. Are you sure this is no risk?

You are freaking out without a reason. Your risk is non existant, in a situation, you described. You will never contract HIV through exposure of vaginal fluids, outside her vagina.

Just an advice on a lighter note. Reusing a condom is a good economy drive,, but they are not that expensive,,, are they? :-)

You didn't put yourself at risk for HIV in the situation that you've provided and you don't need testing. You should just forget about this and move on with your life.
