i had shingles , i am 55 years old , and very stressed, stress has alot to do with it. shingles follows a dermatome from your spine you can google that and the see the path of the dermatomes. usually only one maybe two dermatomes. but they are usually side by side not far apart. if he would of thought it was he would of put u on meds very quickly. they can run an igG or igM for the virus to see if they are elevated but by the time that comes back you would no for sure anyway.
There are no diagnostic tests for shingles. There are tests done for differentiation of herpes zoster from localized herpes simplex. No doctor is going to run a test. They can look at the signs and know from visual appearance. You don't need to try to tell me anything about shingles I've had them. If you would have had shingles you would have been put on medication immediately.
one last thing i know i will test positve after feb 13. that will be six months. if not than i am crazy. which i wish i was.
