haircut concern

sorry to bother you again. i had a haircut and i noticed that my stylist had a cut on her hand. it was not bleeding but it was reddish and was like some small zigzag line. I do not know her hiv status but let me just assume that the person is hiv positive.  My concern is if that cut touched a part of my skin that got nicked or cut by her cutting of the hair. I mean if she nicked or cut me and it was bleeding and it simultaneously touched her cut. Is there an hiv transmission risk there? Please advise me. And I thank you so much in advance. God bless you.

Not a risk at all.  For one, the stylist's cut wasn't even bleeding, and two, you cannot get HIV from being exposed to someone's blood or blody fluids OUTSIDE the body, because the virus cannot remain active and capable of infecting.  The only kind of "blood to blood" scenario that may pose a risk is where two people sustain very serious injuries that would require sutures, bith heavily bleeding onto one another's wounds (like car accident).

You have nothing to worry about.

You have been advised that you never had an exposure.

HIV is transmitted by;
Unprotected penetrative anal and/or vaginal sex
Sharing works with other IV drug abusers
Mother to child

sorry Teak, please do not ban me. You said that i have no worries, thank you. I just want to be clarified concerning those 2 questions about dental instruments.
1) The ONLY possible instrument that could possibly transmit hiv would be the needle used for anesthesia? I mean if it used again accidentally because I know it is disposable.
2) No other instruments can transmit the virus including the saliva thingy that sucks up the saliva, the needles used in root canal, the drills, the "cartridge" used in putting the anesthesia etc..

Pls do not get mad. Please. I will not bother you again, just please answer me.

Dental syringes are cartridges and cannot be reused again.

HIV is not transmitted in a dental setting. Seek professional mental help for evaluation of OCD.

You have classic symptoms of OCD and it's started to cloud your ability to think rationally.Neither exposure was a risk and you have been told many times now.Make an appointment for some OCD therapy.All the best.

Thank You sir. Just to make sure, when you mentioned "neither exposure" you meant those two questions about the dental instruments? I appreciate your time and kindness. God bless you.
