hiv testing question

Hi, i have heard that if you have had a recent organ transplant it takes longer for your hiv test to turn positive if you happened to be. is this true as i ruptured my spleen in a car accident 4 years ago and It was taking out. i tested negative at 4 weeks. i am still nervous as hell. and waiting for the 6 week test. Is a 6 week negative still a pretty good indicator even if i dont have a spleen?

Removal of a spleen has nothing to do with taking antirejection drugs for a transplant. You never had an exposure.
