my friend visited thailand few days ago.
at pattaya he met a russian commertial sex worker with whom he had sex. the condom broke two times and was noticed within 2 seconds and replaces by him. the girl was not lubricated and that must be the reason for condom splitting. he did ask the girl of her status to which she confirmed that she gets tested every month and she does not carry infection. the boy is in real tension and troubled. please tell the odds against chances of infection in this case.

Highly unlikely but your friend requires a DUO test at 4 weeks for a 99.89% accurate result,he can then follow up at 12 weeks for a final test.

The odds are around 1 in 1000 if she is HIV+.These are your friends options, take a DUO test at 4 weeks and then follow up with a final test at 12 weeks or just test at 12 weeks.

Yes, YOUR  friend can contract it by a condom failure. He was protected until his condom failed. The only conclusive negative result is one received 3 month post exposure. . You are not required to do a DUO test most places don't offer them.

If it's avaliable tell your friend to have the DUO test at 4 weeks because it's 99.89% accurate at this time frame because this is when p24 antigen is at it's peak and easily detectable.

The test is expensive and most clincis don't offer it and he would not be able to obtain a conclusive negative test any earlier than any other test.

dear friend your answer was encouraging. now on i will advice my friend to use 2 condoms at a time if at all he wants to go for such a thing. can i presume highly unlikely as least probable or almost negligible a chance as you said about it.

using two condoms at the same time is NOT advisable.  the friction between the two can cause failure.  one condom with a water based lube is sufficient.

tell "your friend" that he requires testing and that the only way to know "his" status is by testing at the appropriate time.
