Do i need a repeat test?

Dear,
Ok 23 of februari i had possibly An unprotected anal top contact with high risk person. I tested fout weeks after with a rapid duo test in belgium. Negative. I was at that moment already siddering of daily headaches that worsened in the evening. I had no debet,no rash, no throat pain.
I tested again at 45 days with a rapid duo test at a labo in belgium. negative again. My headaches are still daily present and i suffer from insomnia and have alot of anxiety.
I don t recall much of the evening because i was drunk. Do you think i have to test again at three months. I worry about the headaches. They are still present.
Kind regards,
Koen

A negative at 45 days means conclusively negative. Please see a therapist for your anxiety. You don't have an HIV concern. Headache and insomnia can happen because of obsessive thoughts, it's not specific to HIV symptoms.

Thanks for You’re fast and clear answer. I also wake up in the middle of the night in sweat? In Belgium , where online, the window period is still 3 Months, in France 6 weeks. I hope i Can close this soon, live is a hell nowadays. Kind regards. K.
For a duo test a 42 days window period is adequate to rule out HIV. It really doesn't matter where you stay, if it's negative at 42 days, it very unlikely that you have HIV.

Waking up to night sweat means that you are very scared and you also read online that it is one of the HIV ARS symptoms. You don't need to test anymore.
Thanks Mike again. I don’t have fever during the day, so from what i read that Means night sweats are not relevant. I agree with you that i search on line all day And i rethink that night from the 23 constantly. So i have to admit you could be right about obsessive thoughts. I do it to relief my anxiety. When i read ‘unlikely’ in you’re answer i’m anxious again, and i start with ‘What if’. Not good, i know, but human i think. Anyway i contacten a therapist, but the fastest available is in two weeks. I do my best to keep myself in peace the coming weeks. Kind regards K.
That's exactly my point, I deliberately wrote "unlikely".  I also wrote "For a duo test a 42 days window period is adequate to rule out HIV. " However, you chose to focus only on the negative instead if the positive reinforcement. That's classic anxiety, please accept your result and move on. You are fine.

Thanks Mike. Finaly , To conclude, are night sweats without fever during day and night suspicious? Kind regards, K.
You are conclusively negative for HIV.  Whatever is happening with your body has nothing to do with HIV.
Thx curfew. Where do you people have you’re expertise from? Thank you both a lot...
Hi, i read from dr handsfield that night sweats without fever during day or night are not the nightsweats that occur with ars . I ‘m now in my 7 week post exposure and had there evenings where i had night sweats and daisy headaches. I check my temperature 6 times a day and i have no fever. Can i this exclude this as suspicious. Kind regards K.
It is abnormal to check your temperature all day long so see a mental health therapist for your classic anxiety because this forum cannot provide the service that you need (but so far you have not been willing to accept that you need it.)
You are sweating in fear because you don't listen to anyone else and only believe in your own science fiction theory that the test doesn't work. Plus your fear comes because you are pretending to yourself that you can diagnose disease like a doctor.
Dear,
Today i have a sort of redness and irritation on my foreskin. I never had this. Dord this change you’re assessement? I was Good for a while, but my anxiety is back. I don’t know What to do anymore. The three month mark is still one month away.

Where do the guidelines for 6 weeks from? Is there much research done about window periods?
Doctors and clinics have not seen anyone test negative at 6 weeks, and then later test positive.  That is the source of the recommendation.  We hope that you are able to accept your conclusive negative test result and move on from this event, but regardless, there is nothing more that our members can add about this event and your conclusive test.
