hello doctors! i m 30 years old. in august this year i had unprotected vaginal sex with unknown female hiv status. i had many ars simptoms but i think most from stress. i had antibody test at 29 days post exposure and hiv duo 4th generation at 54 days post exposure, both negative. i m planing to do my final test at 13 weeks post exposure to be conclusive. my questions are:
1. What are mai chances of cathing hiv?
2. healthy young man develop antibodyes more quiqly?
3. what delays antibodyes to appear at 13 weeks and not show at 8 weeks?

ok i am 85 days post exposure negative. i got my result today. i will certanly put this experience behind me. for everybody who reads this: i had every single symptom: mouth thrush, nauseated stomach, diarheea, night sweats, sore throat. NOTHING IS REAL, ONLY YOUR CONCLUSIVE TEST RESULT. WEAR CONDOMS, DONT READ THE INTERNET ABOUT HIV. HAVE A WODERFULL LIFE

heyy there,
nothing will delay seroconversion over the window period of 12 weeks except chemotherapy or immune suppressants. or if you are a IV drug user.

your 54 days HIV duo test is a strong sign that you are negative, you can break the sweat off, as the 12 weeks test is most probably a negative.

SYMPTOMS CAN NOT BE USED TO DIAGNOSE HIV

I suggest that you take a full STD panel test for other STDs as well since you placed yourself at risk here.
