just curious to learn

If we know that HIV becomes unable to replicate almost intermediately after it leaves the body.......why would activities like getting a tattoo with an infected needle  or sharing needles for that matter pose a risk? how does that work?

Cheers!

No authentic and well documented case of HIV from a dentist's clinic so far. Qualified dentists however take care of sterilization of their equipment before each use, to protect the patients from infections

Hey Diver thanks for your reply and input ....the best way to prevent is to educate....... how about going to the dentist I have heard a lot of stories in that regard I have an upcoming appointment and find myself a bit concerned......as if going to the dentist wasnt already a pain in itself :)

Tattooing is not an HIV risk, through unsterilised equipment may cause Hepatitis B or C transmission. Sharing syringes in drugs does carry HIV risk because contents of the injection are isolated from ambient oxygen once the plunger is pulled back bringing the cylinder of the syringe under vacuum
