as mr.Teak mentioned above protected sex=0risk for HIV
THANKS FOR THE REPLY. BUT IF YOU HAVE READ IN TEXTS & FORUMS, CONDOMS JUST REDUCE THE RISK OF TRANSMISSION, IF PROPERLY USED WITHOUT BREAKAGE. U R NOT 100% PROTECTED??
TWO OF THE GIRLS I KNOW HAVE HAD REGULAR HELATH CHECKS BECAUSE THEY HAD KIDDS RECENTLY. I AM NOT SURE OF ONE OF THEM.
PLEASE ADD SOME COMMENTS ON THE ABOVE. ALSO WAS MY TEST AFTER ABOUT 1 MONTH A WASTE??
Move on, you never had a risk by having protected sex.
The body of research on the effectiveness of latex condoms in preventing sexual transmission of HIV is both comprehensive and conclusive. In fact, the ability of latex condoms to prevent transmission of HIV has been scientifically established
in “real-life” studies of sexually active couples as well as in laboratory studies.
Laboratory studies have demonstrated that latex condoms provide an essentially
impermeable barrier to particles the size of STD pathogens.
THANSK AGAIN. I AM SORRY TO BOTHER YOU BUT AS PER THE CDC WEBSITE, THEY REDUCE THE RISK, BUT ITS NOT 100%.
ALSO, LET ME KNOW IF YOU ARE A PROFESSIONAL ON THE SUBJECT? I AM SORRY TO HAV ETO ASK YOU THAT, BUT THERE ARE CONDRADICTORY OPINIONS ON THE EFFICIENCY OF CONDOMS. PLEASE RESPOND.
THANKS.

Sexually Transmitted Diseases, Including HIV Infection, Latex condoms, when used consistently and correctly, are highly effective in preventing the sexual transmission of HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. In addition, consistent and correct use of latex condoms reduces the risk of other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), including diseases transmitted by genital secretions, and to a lesser degree, genital ulcer diseases. Condom use may reduce the risk for genital human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and HPV-associated diseases, e.g., genital warts and cervical cancer.
Laboratory studies have demonstrated that latex condoms provide an essentially impermeable barrier to particles the size of STD pathogens.
YEAH, I READ THAT ON THE WEBSITE. I HOPE ITS TRUE, COZ I WAS FREAKING OUT.
I HOPE YOU HAVE HAD WORSE SCENARIOS HERE WITH TESTS BEING NEGATIVE, BUT I HAD TO BE SURE.
DO U RECOMMEND A ANTIBODY TEST AT 3 & THEN AT 6 MONTHS??
THANKS!
NO. There is no reason for you to test.
you have been assessed as NOT having a risk from protected sex...this forum has nothing left to offer.
kindly move on
sorry to bother you guys again.
i had afew question
1. about functionality of ultra thin condoms??
2. for most of my encounters i used durex ultrathin condoms. the condoms were intact to the best of my knowledge. is there a perticular way suggested to know if the condom broke?? any suggested way to chk for sure??
3.i have heard about improper use of condoms but dont really understand how that is possible.
please shed some light on the above.
thanks.
1. they function like any other condom
2. if a condom fails you would know it failed

Inproper storage
Incorrectly opening package
Not using waterbase lube.
