Hi I know this is probably going to sound stupid and uneducated but anxiety sucks so I’m looking to you all for help. 29 days ago, I received oral sex (insertive) from a male I met from an app. About two weeks later I had a sore throat for a few days and developed a cough that is starting to fade away but still here very slightly. 3 days ago I started having stomach grumbling with a case of diarrhea which was watery the first day but now is more of a solid mush (not solid normal). I’m scared I might’ve contracted something …. Any opinions? I know the risk of HIV is extremely low but my mind still wanders there due to google and YouTube. Ive had no other symptoms

Your situation involves personal contact with an object in air  (body,  fluids,  maybe blood, cuts, mouth,  etc. ). You will be happy to learn that you had no risk, because you can't get hiv from personal contact except unprotected penetrating vaginal or anal with a penis, neither of which you did and you didn't share hollow needles to inject with which is the only other way to acquire hiv - there are ONLY 3 ways to get hiv. Note that 2 of them require a penis and the third requires a hollow injecting shared needle - there are no OTHER ways to get hiv. Analysis of large numbers of infected people over the 40 years of hiv history has proven that people don't get hiv in the way you are worried is a risk.
Hiv is a fragile virus in air or saliva and is effectively instantly dead in either air or saliva so the WORST that could happen is dead virus rubbed you, and obviously anything which is dead cannot live again so you are good. Blood and cuts would not be relevant in your situation since the hiv has become effectively dead, so you don't have to worry about them to be sure that you are safe.
There is no reason for a person to test when they are safe. The advice took into consideration that the other person might be positive, so move on and enjoy life instead of thinking about this non-event. hiv prevention is straightforward since there are only 3 ways you can become infected, so next time you wonder if you had a risk, ask yourself this QUESTION. "Did I do any of the 3?" Then after you say "No, I didn't" you will know that it's time to move on back to your happy life.
No one got hiv from what you did during 40 years of hiv history and no one will get it in the next 40 years of your life either.  You can do what you did any time and be safe from hiv.
The other person's status is irrelevant when you have no exposure to live virus.
If your deleted posts were about this encounter, see a mental health therapist.

Nothing compels you to Google, so no one here can help you quit this self-destructive behaviour that you choose to continue doing.
Thank you. I know my own anxiety makes it worse but it’s reassuring hearing another opinion
Here is the problem with anxiety. You asking is FEEDING the anxiety. EVERY time we give you reassurance, it feeds it and makes it bigger. You have to stop asking for reassurance. Is this your first account here?
Yes
If your deleted posts were about this encounter, see a mental health therapist.  It is difficult to believe your Aoril deleted threads were not about this same encounter, given your current unwillingness to move on after receiving the advice.
I guess I was just nervous cause of the lingering cough and change in bowel movement
No I asked the same question on multiple threads. I just only received an answer from you and anxious no more
Nothing compels you to Google, so no one here can help you quit this self-destructive behaviour that you choose to continue doing.  "was just nervous cause of the lingering cough and change in bowel movement " Those 2 events are illogical to use as a diagnosis of hiv and your purposeless self diagnosis is a result of googling.
No I understand. Thank you to everyone, I’ll do my best to move on with my life… just wanted a opinion
I know HIV is out the picture but could my symptoms be from any other STD?
The STD forum is here: https://www.medhelp.org/forums/STDs-STIs/show/98

But receiving oral sex wouldn't cause the symptoms you describe.
Hmm okay. Not sure if it matters but for the past week I’ve had some weird lower back sensations mostly in kidney area. I am prediabetic so I’m not sure if that might be why. I had a abdominal ultrasound a few weeks ago and doc said everything looked good so just weird all around. I was thinking uti but I don’t have burning pee or frequent urge to pee or any sharp pain
"I know HIV is out the picture but ...." First step to peace is to stop googling cold turkey and the second is stop looking at your body for problems that your mind illogically connects to hiv. Move on from hiv fixation or see a mental health therapist to help you think logically, because this is just an hiv forum.
As noted, you weren't at risk for HIV, and this forum only covers HIV concerns.
