Teak, Lizzie answer please!!!
Hi Ithougtiwasdone,
The person who did the test should have worn gloves for the procedure, but nevertheless, it wasn't a risk at all for hiv.
You do not need testing from this incident, relax!
Take care.
May God bless
reallyregret
Thanks so much for the answer
So even he touched my bleeding finger with his open cut or sore it still doesn't pose a risk?
By not wearing a glove, the guy was putting himself under risk from you, not you from him. If he had an open cut, he wouldnt be there. open cuts gush out blood. And if he had a wound you would have seen.
That's the answer I was looking for.
Am I right in assuming the cut on his hands has to be activly bleeing in order for HIV transimission to occur?
One more thing I didn't examin his hands to see if he had a cut, wound or sore.
Teak can you please expain to me why not wearing a glove is not a risk to me??
Its not a risk to you time for you to put this behind you.....So he didnt wear a glove he was the one at risk not you....
Teak,
I have gotten some great responses from other people but I would love to hear from you.
I spoke to a Doctor who said there is a theoretical risk if my bleeding finger came in contact with his open cuts or sores.I really don't want to take an HIV test for this incident.
Thank you!

YOU HAD NO RISK FROM WHAT YOU HAVE DESCRIBED.
kindly move on...you do not have a hiv concern.
Does the fact that the person who conducted the test is HIV+ make any difference in your assesment?
