phone results

Just a question. While working I had to have a client call for hbv hcv and hiv results. I did not fully hear what the nurse said for blood results. All I heard was "hiv hepc hep b...." I am almost positive it was negative but not sure. Would any positive results be given over the phone? I am just concerned for her health and her daughters but don't want to ask her to call again for her own privacy.

I agree which is why I think it was negative. I could not think a doctor would mention any results over the phone ever, especially positive

It is not a good practice to disclose the results on phone. Get the printed reports
