i know he mentioned asking congress for doubling up on funds for hiv treatments and research and extending the programs out 5 more yrs.  he also mentioned that they expire in 2008, therefore he was asking early.  also mentioned something like 32 billion dollars.
whats your all take on this?
do you think it will improve treatment options, research procedures and finally better school education??

my take, dubyas way to increase his popularity in a time when most of us dislike the guy.
still, hope this effort will help out the millions who are positive, and maybe make generic hiv meds that are more affordable for patients and better programs for quality of life.
one of our own here mentioned he would get like 600 monthly to live on, but most meds paid. that is retarded by our govt.

thats great that hes trying to be proactive about it, but he phucked up enough and where would he get the money from, because i believe all the money are over in Iraq. all that money could have provided meds for those inneed americans. We are in a big deficit, approaching the 9 trillion mark. anyways this is my 2 cents.
