protective sex with sex worker

Hi doc,

i had protective oral and vaginal sex with a sex worker 3 weeks ago. After that for four nights i had irregular sleeps and mild headaches during afternoon for 3-4 days. I visited a doctor and he gave me some tranquilizers. It all became normal. after 2 weeks my left testicles started paining without any swelling. Ultrasound showed normal and it became normal without any medication. I have now some feeling of sore throat and my body temperature goes upto 99.1 degree F. I have already given my blood samples for HIV ELISA results are awaiting. but i am living in constant fear. Can you help me know what are the risk of getting infected with protective vaginal sex when condom did not  break.

Thanks in advance

* Anyone who continues to post excessively, questioning a conclusively negative result or no-risk situation, will be subject to action by MedHelp. Conclusively negative results or a no-risk situation will be based upon the criteria established by MedHelp’s doctors. Action will be taken as follows:
* After excessive posting, a warning will be issued by MedHelp
* Continuing to post regarding the negative result / no risk situation will result in a 3 day suspension

Hi,

Condom protected sex is safe sex assuming it was a latex condom and did not break. You do not need to even test except for psychological reassurance - Your symptoms are consistent with anxiety and that itself is enough to give you all kinds of symptoms. An HIV duo test at about 4 weeks is all you need for seeking comfort.

since you had a protected sex , there is nothing to worry.  Symptoms does not mean anything incase of hiv.
