stab by needle?

First of all let me tell you that i have an Hiv phobia and anxiety about catching Hiv from distracted syringes. I always mind my step to see if I'm not stepping on one or sometimes I'm afraid of people that might be using drugs.
I have started going to psychotherapist and I'm diagnosed with ocd and anxiety.

I was walking down the road in a foreign country and a very friendly guy approached me and welcomed me to his country it was obvious that he was very poor he had bad teeth and was skinny and maybe a drug user. We chated for a bit and then he left. After that i saw him again later and i asked him to give me directions for a shop. This time he was caring a small plastic bag with him and i got anxious that he might have syringes inside and I kept away from it but he told me to follow him in to the shop and at that point i think i might got in contact with that bag he was holding. I couldn't see what was inside but i thought it might be drugs or drug paraphinelia maybe syringes and I'm afraid if i came in contact with them and gave me hiv or hep.

I keep saying to myself that he wouldn't have the syringe laying in the bag its too obvious and that if the needle would go deep in my leg i would see it at that moment. Also usually syringes have caps

My question is if  he had a syringe in the bag is that something that can put me in danger for Hiv or hep if it pricked me in the thigh or leg.
Is it completely stupid to thing about who did you touch in the street and if they had a syringe somewhere that pricked you cause i kinda do it all the time.
Thank you

It isn't "completely stupid," but it IS your OCD.  People aren't running around stabbing others with needles, and if that did happen, you would know.  Please continue working with your therapist.  You didn't have a risk for HIV.
