Is 8th week test conclusive?

Dear friend, I took three hiv duo tests separately in week 4, 6 and 8. The report indicated hiv p24 ag and hiv 1, 2 abs negative by CLIA. All three time tests come back negative.

1. May I be confident that I am negative according to the test results?
2. Could you tell me whether CLIA is a assay or a certification? Is it an approved method? What is the different between CLIA and ELISA or ELFA?

I am confused about the method the lab used, is it a concern that I need to be worried?

Your problem is you aren't paying attention. "YOU NEVER HAD AN EXPOSURE."

You're imagining things and reading more into our answers than is there.  We all told you factually that you didn't have A RISK.  Not sure how much clearer we could be.

Thank you Teak, but why you guys all did not answer my question directly. I knew it is no exposure for me, however, when I mentioned capillary hemangioma, all of you became a little strange. Could you tell me the truth, is that a dangerous and typical sigh of hiv?

Dear nursegirl, I had a small pox upon my eye since I was born, however, it is getting much larger since the sex activity, even bleeding today. It is probably a capillary hemangioma getting serious. Is it probably hiv related? Sorry for my anxiety and sensitivity.

Most doctors will advise that a negative DUO result at 8 weeks is conclusive.  On this forum, we adhere to the official guidelines for testing, which would mean that a conclusive result can be obtained at 3 months post exposure.

The most important question is, what was your risk?  If it wasn't unprotected vaginal or anal sex, or sharing IV drugs/drug works, you never had a risk and didn't need testing to begin with.  If you DID have a risk, with three negative results, it's likely you're not infected.
