HIV Question

For the sake of my own sanity I need to pose this question. I had unprotected sex with a woman in her mid 20s, for about 5 seconds before I realized the danger I was putting myself in. Then we put on the condom. Regular sex. No drugs. I tested at 4 weeks. It was negative. I plan on testing at 12 weeks, but I'm sweating the following 8 weeks. What are my odds of remaining negative? Thank you. My nerves are shot. 3rd generation test I might add. Sadly it was not a 4th duo. I think I have a sore throat about 4 weeks and a couple days after possible risk. ARS?

You don't even know the status of the woman.  Odds are she was not even infected.  The 4 week negative(even though it was just antibody test) is encouraging.  I believe CDC guidelines suggest 85-90% of infections will show up on antibody test 3-4 weeks post exposure.

So you have that going for you.  In addition the odds of a single exposure infection are 1-1000 exposures.
