Green Bean Salad

I just saw this on Food.com and will be making this week.

4 44Servings Size
1 lb green beans (fresh or canned)
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 teaspoons olive oil
1 garlic cloves, smashed
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups cherry tomatoes, cut in half
2 tablespoons pine nuts
Change Measurements: US | Metric

Directions:Prep Time: 10 mins
Total Time: 15 mins

1 Cook cut green beans in boiling water, if fresh, 5 minutes till tender crisp. If using canned, just drain. Drain beans and rinse in cold water. 2 Combine fresh lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, basil, salt and pepper in a small bowl; stir well with a whisk. 3 Combine green beans with the tomatoes and toss with the vinaigrette. 4 Add pine nuts just before serving.

Never been a green bean fan but stuck yesterday so I made this recipe you put up here minus the garlic, the DH will not eat it ..it was really a surprise how good it was even with out the garlic or pine nuts ... so green beans are back in favor ...

I really like it - I went overboard with the garlic and did two cloves but definitely would be better with one.  I toasted the pine nuts too.  

Green bean pickles are another way to really enjoy them.  I don't like overcooked beans.  Must have some crunch in them!
