24 year old boy 6 feet 3 inch ht , 92kg weight has abnormal fusiform dilatation of the aortic root and ascending aorta for approximate length of around 76mm -aneurysm . No intraluminal thrombus seen . No sesection seen . Rest of the ascending aorta is normal in diameter .have bicuspid aortic valve.
Average diameters are : Aprtic annulus -3.2cm, ascending aorta (at the level of aneurysm -6.5cm ), (just distal to aneurysm -2.7cm,) arch of of aorta -2.2cm , Descending thoracic aorta - at the level of main pulmonary artery 2.0cm , just above diaphragm -2.1cm , Abdominal aorta - Suprarenal -1.7cm , Infrarenal 1.4cm , just before bifurcation 1.4cm
Does this boy of 24 who has normal life uptil now, but blood pressure 150/80 and pulse 90 require surgery or any othe option to avoid surgery , please advise
