Anyone know what this means?

I had my yearly echo, the DRS. office called and said it was fine. I received a copy of the report all valves are normal in size and function the left and right ventricle are normal in size and wall motion.

Trace mitral regurgitation also mild tricuspid regurgitation. EF +55. The tech told me it was 63-65.

The reports says cannot rule out chordal SAM. High velociies were noted in the lv.

I tried doing a search on the net and finding things that are serious  like valve replacements etc. Of course my DR. is on vacation.

Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have any idea what it means by saying cannot rule out chordal SAM? This has me concerned, I know it has something to do with the tendons, I think.

Thanks, Line

You can do a search for "chordal SAM". I typed it in and there were plenty of sites. The first one referred to "Systolic Anterior Motion of the Chordae...". I didn't read it but it's there if you want to research it a bit.

Irene, thanks for that.

I've seen the other site that I normally went.  So many of them have gone back there.  I dare not to type there otherwise they'll all go away again.  I think they don't like me.  I'm very dump, am I?
