Breathing & Triple Bypass

I had Triple Bypass 2 mos ago...still have shortness of breath at times....is this normal? Also, this recovery is like an emotional and physical roller coaster....anyone have similar issues?

Thank you so much for your advice....I will follow it. And, yes,  at times I focus on it too much and try to control my breathing. I did not know it will take so long to fully recover but it certainly makes sense.You have helped me very much!

The emotional roller coaster is normal and it does improve when your body feels stronger. I guess this shows the reversal of the old saying strong mind, strong body. Your body has been through a big ordeal and it's a huge trauma to the body. Different people seem to recover at different rates and I believe the average for physical recovery is 8-12 months. This is to the point when there is no physical discomfort anymore, even turning over in bed.
With regards to shortness of breath at times, it can be confusing at times whether this is due to recovery. I remember that I was still taking small breaths at 2 mos because it was painful to expand my rib cage too much. I also found that I was concentrating on my breathing a lot, to the point of actually trying to take over and control it. I would give it another month and see how you feel then.
