Always new and exciting

So what's the deal with March?  Last year I got to spend St. Pat's in the ER on a monitor for frequent ectopics.  This March I have a new monster.  Every palpitation I get is either a body-rattler or a double whammy.  Usually those are ventricular, but to be honest I cannot tell.

Of course I am nervous now because just when I learned to ignore my palpitations for the most part I found out about the PPCM.  Yes, I'm all healed and my heart is normal and my cardiologist says you don't relapse unless you get pregnant (unless you were on meds and stop them too soon, which doesn't apply to me) but I have anxiety.

This doesn't feel like my usual thumpthumpTHUD PAC.  Or two of those in a row.  It feels like THUDTHUD pause THUD.  Yeah, real descriptive, lol, I know ;)

I had a couple of these four in a row instead of just two.  But it's super slow, 60-80 bpm, so it's nothing like my typical SVT at all (that goes 180).  My resting rate is 65-75 and the palpitations really don't seem to change it, where SVT usually keeps me elevated even for a few seconds after the run breaks.  I had my oral surgery the other day, but awake, and I'm not on any meds, they just shot me up with novocaine.  Yay wisdom teeth, lol  And this all started before that.

Anyone want to offer some pearls of wisdom?

Yesterday I fell really bad (heart races and thump, short of breath), and I could not sleep well last night because my heart was doing its thing, so I woke up in this morning expecting the worst.  After breakfast, I took a CQ-10 50mg and 250mg Magnesium, and while driving to work I noticed that I was much calmer.  I could still feel my heart thumping from time to time all day, but the intensity is much less.  I was able to ignore those PVCs.  I read your early posts, and you're not a big fan of Magnesium if I'm not mistaken.  How about CQ-10?  Have you tried it?  It might help.  Take care.

I wish I could offer more help to you.  I know your fear and it is paralyzing.  I can only offer this... my cardio told me just last week if I even caught a cold, I would likely notice heart changes.  They have told me my heart is mechanically correct, but I guess my wiring was faulty.  I do believe in prayer... just waiting on my miracle.  ")        If your body experienced stress, it is possible that is the cause.  Really wish I could offer more peace for you.  Praying you have a quiet night...

If you could use a laugh, I tripped over my holter wires while bending down this evening.  I reconnected them wrong for over 2 hours.  Finally caught on, called the ER to get advice on how to reapply... can you imagine the readings their going to get tomorrow?!

LikeSudoku: Not the biggest fan of mangesium, but I guess there's something to be said for the fact that when I was doing the whole anorexia/bulimia thing and taking Milk of Magnesia *daily*, I pretty much never had palpitations (for most of those years) even with all the abuse I was putting my body through.  Interesting.  I've just heard so many frightening possibilities though.

myowncrazybeat: LOL!!!  That's pretty funny about the Holter.  Fortunately or unfortunately I've had so many Holters I know exactly where to stick the leads back on.  They even send me home with extra stickies because they know I work out real hard (sweat).  When do you get your results?  I hope everything turns out very well for you.  Thank you so much for your kind thoughts, words and prayers.
