Carotid occlusion and high bp

I have high bp, occluded left carotid and post stroke 11 years - almost 80 years old. Is it possible that high bp is being caused by occluded carotid? On Cozaar 75mg twice a day

Thanks for your response. On Cozaar meds. Did not discuss occlusion recently with doc, but if memory serves me right, endterectomy is not an option at this stage.

Not sure if an occluded carotid artery can cause elevated BP.  Has your doctor discussed surgery to resolve the occlusion?  Are you on BP medications?  If so, can they be adjusted for better control?
