I have very bad leg pain when i walk, when i am working,i can walk about ten steps before my legs start hurting real bad that i have to stop in my track or sit down until the pain stop.I do have p.a.d what else can i do?
When my leg got to be that bad I had a doppler done to check the flow. I didn't have a pulse in that foot either. The cardio did an angio and found that the Iliac artery was 100% blocked and had been for about 2 years. I passed the pain off as arthritis. It took about 4 hours to get the stent in place because of all the scar tissue. He was amazed that I had put it off that long. Have you discussed the pain with your doctor? There are things that can be done to correct this. My doctor told me at one point he started to give up and go with the by pass surgery. Praise God he perservered. Take care!
You say you do have PAD? Surely the doctor must have given you something to manage it. If it's getting worse, you should see him/her again and explain how bad it is.
