Correlation between PVCs and Carbs

Has anyone else noticed a relationship between pvcs and carbs? Most of the time I can eat carbs with no problem, but when I am prone to getting pvcs anyway, I am finding that if I eat carbs it's like adding fuel to the fire. This happened to me a few times, but I thought it was a coincidence. The other day though convinced me there is a definitely a cause and effect. I ate a big lunch of lobster roll on a hot dog bun, fries and rootbeer and within a half hour my pvcs were intense - every other beat for about two hours until the Propranolol kicked in. Before that I was fine. Anyway, I decided to test i t out and cut carbs out completely except vegetables (but no potatoes, corn or carrots) and basically went on Atkins - no pvcs except for one or two during the course of the day. Then I ate carbs again - crazy pvcs again! Anyway, I just wanted to see if anyone else finds this to be true. I think it must be an insulin response. Also, if you are having bad pvcs that you notice occur after meals, try cutting out all carbs - bread, pasta, sugar etc... and see if it helps!

It was gluten in my case, When I was having a period of a lot of pvc's/chest pain/tachycardia and shortness of breath  all unexplained by cardio Dr. I went to a naturalistic Dr who suggested Gluten intolerance and after 1 week Gluten free my ailments disappeared, She explained to me that gluten causes autoimmune attacks on the thyroid which controls the gas petal to our bodies, with the attacks comes floods of free t3 hormones in our bodies which speed up our heart rate and can cause inflammation of the chest wall muscles and she was absolutely right in my case. So may not be just carbs that are causing yours but gluten as well. Worth a shot, It gave me my life back.

I'm amazed no one responded to this yet.  Our stories are very much alike Manahattan.  When I'm in a PVC free period I can do anything and eat/drink anything w/out bringing those nasty devils on.  However I too have noticed a definite and often dramatic increase in PVCs if I eat carbs during times when I'm prone to PVCs or PVC sensitive as I call it.

It's been a while since your post.  Have you learned anything new to the possible relationship between carbs and PVCs?  I am curious.

Thanks,
James
