I take Lycra for fibromyalgia & started having a problem taking antibiotics.  I have an ear infection & am taking Clamoxin which is a form of Amoxocline.  Last night it kept me awake most of the night with leg cramps.  I've never had this problem before, so why am I having this problem now?  Is there a reason that I'm getting cramps at all, because this is not the first time I've had a problem taking antibiotics.

Thank you for the info.  Because I have been on amioderone my last liver tests came back a little high and there is some worry.  I will check the site you mentioned and find out what the results bring.  Also, I have talked to my dr. about this and he said he would research it and let me know. I was just trying to get a jump on things.

If you google milk thistle amiodarone you'll find many sites describing interactions. A medline plus site says that milk thistle has been shown to decrease amiodarone toxicity in animal studies. A National Cancer Institute webpage on milk thistle points out that it has been shown to increase the antiarrhythmic effects of amiodarone in mice.

You should really talk this over with your cardiologist before mixing the amiodarone and milk thistle IMO.

Best wishes

Tony
