Right heart

Abnormal shaped rv with thickened free wall, ra not clearly viualised, normal sice ivc with full inspiratory collapse

tricuspid valve       trivial tr    p.a. pressure    19mmhg + cvp

now i havent got a clue what this means, but have been told it could be to do with the shape of my chest. I am haveing an ecg tracker for a week then onto see a cardioloist after. But i may be waiting months.

I am 34 fit and healthy firefighter.

Please any answers to what you see would be greatly recieved.

Thank you

Hi there, i will know more once i see the cardiologist, i am in the dark right now and very confused. I keep getting light headed and dizzy on exertion. The doctors i think are tryimg to fob me off saying all is ok. I await my referal from cardiologist and will take it from there.

What is an arched palet? as far as im aware i dont have that. I have been googling my butt off today reading about pectus excavatum and it seems it is related frequently to heart problems. Funny that nothing was ever done when i was younger. My Mum was told that it would not cause me any problems and it was only cosmetic. My sunken chest is quite deep, i think approx 42" maybe more. I didn't realise you could have surgery or anything like that.

I have always been aware of it, i.e shy to go swimming   sun bathe etc.

Take care and my thought and prayers are with you.

Scott

Hi Scott, I'm Steve. I don't have much to share as far as info, but I was quite intriques with your post. I have dilated cardiomyopathy myself, and quite a number of problems to go along with it. I have seen many Drs. Do you also have an arched palate?  I happened to be being examined by my Cardio as he had another Dr present and they were disussing my case ( funny, it was as if I wasn't there)....
I heard them mention a few things regarding pectus excavatum, my arched palate, long fingers, etc....However nothing shared with me as to significance. Upon going home and googling my butt off ;-), I found that certain heart disorders were noted with this condition. Most notably, Aorta problems, which to my knowledge, don't affect me (yet- but give it time, seems most everything else, lol)
Curious to know if you come up with something. I am assuming that your sunken sternum is suspect for putting pressure on your heart?   Please keep us posted. Be well, Steve
