Digesting food puts more demand on the body for Oxygen. This CAN show a problem with circulation, the heart or even a lung problem. As you say you have noticed symptoms when climbing stairs, then maybe you should have your blood pressure checked and have a chat with your GP. Are you generally a fit person? i.e. normal BMI and non smoker?
My heart rate has climbed as high as 157 documented, just after waking and getting ready for work. Hadn't eaten yet. Mostly, my tachy comes after a meal and shoots up with any exertion. The 130s-150s don't have to have exertion on days where I just feel "off". I have found that when I am nauseaus and dizzy, my BP is low and my pulse is racing. My heart isn't always pounding, just fast upon checking with a BP cuff. I am going to cross my fingers and pray at the same time and look more into Food intolerance. I have undergone NAET for food allergy, which makes my digestion easier, however, I think there is more to it, like intolerance, that the NAET didn't seem to cover :( I am 35Y, 130# 5'4" and I don't really exercise, but I wouldn't say that I'm unfit. Non-smoker/drinker/drugs... Elevated cholesterol and off/on anemia with a VERY low ferritin. PO2 is usually around 96-98 standing. Started a trial of Florinef this past week. Please comments with tips/tricks to control this heartrate! I'm on partial disability because I can't work 8 hours a day anymore, just too tired to wake up. Even with 8-12 hours of sleep a night. <>
