Heart Smart

I heard about some new vitamins that are supposed to be good for your heart, called Heart Smart.  I am getting about that age when I need to start paying a bit more attentions to things like that but I don’t like putting anything in my body unless I am sure it will be ok.  Does anyone know anything about Heart Smart?  What would you suggest for something along these lines?  Thanks.

Hey guys, thanks for the advice.  Jim, you are probably right about the sales gimmick part.  However, I did ask my doctor about it and he told me it shouldn't hurt anything, but if I felt funny to stop taking it.  I guess I will try it for a few days and see if I feel any difference.

I forgot to ask my doctor about the lipid panel the last time I was in but I will make sure to do that the next time I go in.  Actually it would be a good test to check it when I go in next then try the Heart Smart System for 30 days or so then see if I can get another check to see if it makes any difference.  That could be interesting.

Oh well I will let you know if I actually try it and what the results are.

Thanks again for the advice.

Vitamins probably have a very very little effect, if any, in my opinion.  Exercise is your best friend.  How you eat will determine your health in large part.  See your doctor regularly, check cholesterol, do the right things.

Correct diet and exercise are the best defense and go have a complete lipid panel done..once you know what your lipid profile looks like you can figure out any other course of action.

Moderation is my suggestion.

Never heard of "heart smart" but it's probably pretty much a sales gimmick.
