If there is no symptom of mitral regurgitation (MR) in patient, can it be considered normal. Or steps should we need to take?
I thank you very much this was helpful
Hi, in mitral stenosis, the valve is narrowed, so the atria, namely the left atrium has to work harder and this will lead to left atrial enlargement. In mitral regurgitation there is a leak in the valve and blood keep leaking back into the left atrium, this can cause a left atrial and left ventricular enlargement due to increased volume. And both the conditions may not have any direct effects on the coronary circulation. Regards.
