Hi,
How is your husband doing? I recently had 100% LAD blockage, and a heart attack, and was able to get a stent put in. I have been since looking into ways of reversing the plaque build up, as the angioplasty doesn't really clean the plaque. So I found a youtube video, and hope it will guide you for an alternative approach you were seeking for your husband. Here is the link:

Please update us, wishing you both the best.
Correction: he eats breads...
Auto correct is my worst enema.
I just noticed the message above today. My husbands health continues to be excellent. We reach the four year mark since his first PET scan and have passed ten years since the first CT scan. He is extremely disciplined with his dietary restrictions eating no more than 10 fat grams a day which means he receives any fat through three ounces of fish, chix or turkey a day. With high metabolism, being very lean and athletic, he needs to eat all of the time. This means he ears brads with Zero fat, vegetables steamed in huge quantities and cereals that are made without any oils. He must have 80 plus grams of protein a day to maintain energy so we use soy protein. He will use two scoops of isopure protein powder on a bowl of cereal that contains 50 grams of protein. And we eat super sized egg white veggie omelets made with cooking spray. Almost every day we walk/hike 3-4 hours. He remains a symptomatic.
What does it mean to have severe apical stress induced defect? Is this a hole? Is this congenital? And I am confused with the seemingly contradictory report of 61% ejection fraction and also a severely reduced heart flow? What I have recently understood is that two of the three main arteries going into his heart are 100% blocked. I had not realized the posterior or circumflex artery is one of the three main arteries. I also wonder how these two main arteries affect the other Main artery. What I am really asking is how long can this stay stabilized without deterioration in the heart? Even with corollary arterial flow how much will the rest of the heart get damaged.
