He needs further testing. This is not normal, and I would not stop until I had an answer. Something caused this, is he following up with his doctor? That is an extremely low, serious pulse rate. He may have been severely de-hydrated, which is dangerous and can cause these symptoms, but the ER would have recognized this and told the family. I would tell him to see his doctor and get an explanation of all that could have caused this, and start ruling them out, one by one.
does he take any med with beta blocker? tht also could be the problem
Thanks, he has since been discharged. The upsetting thing is the doctors at the hospital told him he'll be fine, but when he asked for his medical records only then does the doctor come back to his room to say the left side of his heart is swollen. He does not bring in a cardiologist to review his case nor does he refer him to one either, he discharged him and tell him he'll be fine. What do you make of that?
Thanks , no he does not take beta blocker.
