Mild regurgitation

I'm 32 yr old female. My doctor noticed a murmur when she did my physical and prescribed an echocardiogram. She said she could hear the murmur only when I lye down and not while sitting. My echocardiogram result sys my heart function is normal with mild regurgitation of the valves producing the murmur,no intervention required and will monitor.I was perfectly fine in my previous physical.I'm breast feeding my toddler.I'm 5.4 and weigh 161pds.I was 153pds-156pds initially in nov 2010.I put on extra weight during the holidays.

I'm very concerned. Is there anything to be concerned about.I'm planning to reduce weight. Can I excercise in a gym?Is yoga, cardio excercises etc OK.How should my diet be?Is it safe to lift my toddler(she is pretty heavy-38 lbs).I just hope I can see my children grow,I want to be there for them.

Mild regurgitation is nothing to worry about, and there is no reason to believe that the leaky valves will worsen, but it's a good thing to be regularly monitored in case there is an underlying cause. Millions of people have mild leaks, it's so common that you could in fact class it as a normal thing. You can certainly carry on with life as normal and you will see your children grow. I do wish Doctors would explain this in more detail because leaving patients worried to death is disgusting.
