ablation

Hello I am 34 male in New York City. I just had my ablation three weeks ago. since the ablation, I have been having pounding heart, paplations and shortness of breathing. I really regret that I got the ablation. I would not have done it if I know that I would have all these symptons., Please help me. I don't know what to do now.

Hi there,

I had Cardiac ablation in 2007 for PSVT's and A-fib.  I had immediate relief from my symptoms.

You can develop Pericarditis post-op and the treatment for that is Asprin!  but I would advice you to go to your Doctor and get it checked out.

All the best and please let me know how you are doing.

Sorry you  haven't gotten an input from someone who has had an experience similar to your, I have not.

That said, I believe three weeks is too early to judge the long term results of your ablation.  Discuss with your doctor and surgeon if these are different doctors.  I believe they will advise you on how to minimize your troubling symptoms and will tell you it takes months not weeks for your heart to fully heal.

Hope you get better each day - I'm betting you will.
